KPN also have in excess 700 R&D staff, developing innovative solutions, next generation network platforms and managed services. Firstly tested and then deployed in the Netherlands, and then rolled out internationally.  An example of this being our VPLS offering which is available now in the Netherlands and will be available later this year internationally.
